I obtained a Doctorate in Human Development and Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto–Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and am a registered member in good standing of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. I am the founder and owner of Ramsay and Associates, a clinical psychology practice in Hamilton, Ontario, and co-founder of Niagara Psychological Wellness. I assess, diagnose, and treat trauma-related disorders, conduct medical-legal assessments, and supervise Registered Psychotherapists. Additionally, I serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor (Adjunct) in McMaster University’s Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioural Sciences, where I focus on teaching and research. I am a Past President of the Ontario Psychological Association and served on its Board of Directors from 2015–2022. I was also the Vice Chair and Ontario Representative of the Council of Professional Associations of Psychologists (CPAP). I maintain memberships in the Ontario, Canadian, and American Psychological Associations, the Society for Personality Assessment, and the Toronto Medical-Legal Society. I review submissions for the scientific journal Psychological Injury and Law where I also serve as a Section Head for research on disability and return to work. I regularly review manuscripts for Injury: The International Journal of the Care of the Injured.
