Catherine Gow

Dr. Catherine Gow is a duly qualified clinical psychologist in the province of Ontario with specialties in the area of neuropsychology and rehabilitation, and is a designated capacity assessor in the province of Ontario. After completing a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (Specialization Neuroscience) at the University of Ottawa, she completed a Clinical Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Since that time, she has then held the position of neuropsychologist and Clinical Director at a community based rehabilitation program, provided neuropsychological assessments and rehabilitation at The Ottawa Hospital group consulting to the Neurosurgery, Neurospinal, Respirology, Musculoskeletal, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Teams as well as outpatient, neuropsychology services. Between 2000-2002, Dr. Gow was a consultant for the Ministry of Health-Long Term Care on a project to survey the needs of individuals with traumatic brain injuries in the Champlain district. Since 2000, Dr. Gow has maintained a private practice including treatment as well as consultation, clinical neuropsychological evaluation, capacity assessment (retired designated capacity assessor), and independent neuropsychological assessments. Areas of research interest are highlighted in publications on the function of the frontal lobes and personality change following executive system impairment, and the role of ABI / TBI in various aspects of executive dysfunction.
